Actress Lesedi Leaves Generations The Legacy To Focus On Her Marriage

Actress Luyanda Mzazi who plays the role of Lesedi on Generations The Legacy, has left the SABC 1 soapie for a possible career switch and focus on her marriage. On Generations The Legacy, Lesedi played the role of an orphaned young woman rescued by Mamsonto’s orphanage and later adopted by Gog Flo into the Diale family. She experienced all the problems faced by young South African teens, and over the storyline, she once disappeared into the streets with Mpho.

Heated Generations The Legacy fans were unimpressed with the Lesedi storyline, labelled ‘boring’, and were relieved to see her exit the cast. Luyanda Mzazi previously disappeared from Generations two times, including when she went on maternity leave. She fell pregnant both onscreen and in real life simultaneously; when she gave birth to Banele Moroka on Generations The Legacy, she also gave birth offscreen.

In the Generations storyline, Lesedi leaves for Rustenburg, the Moroka roots where she is supposed to undergo breast cancer surgery. The recently aired episode saw her giving the Diales a warm goodbye, whats a farewell without drama? When the Diale family arrived at the commune, they found Lesedi having a steamy moment with Mpho. The heartfelt farewell saw Lucy, Mrekza, Cosmo and Mbali giving Lesedi a groupie hug.

Sources close to the actress revealed that Luyanda Mzazi dumped Generations to focus on a new career and her love life. “After failing to score a leading role on Generations The Legacy, she had to make a move; she is now pursuing an advertising and presenting career. Her marriage was on the rocks; hence she needed the space to deal with personal issues,” the source said.

Posting on Twitter, Luyanda Mzazi revealed plans to travel with her husband over the festive season, maybe a vacation to steam off on the cards.
