Breaking News! Four Cabinet Members Have Been Fired With Immediate Effect!
Four African National Congress (ANC) cabinet members sadly woke up this morning forming part of the 11-million South Africans who are unemployed, this is after Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane brandished her axe on four of her Cabinet members.
Earlier this month, speculation churned that the political disruption overcoming the African National Congress in Mpumalanga was set to force Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane to reshuffle her cabinet.
According to eNCA, Mtshweni-Tsipane fired four Members of her Cabinet this morning, the members are Gideon Mashigo, Norah Mahlangu, Pat Ngomane and Gibisile Tshabalala. They were replaced by Speedy Mashilo, Mohita Latchminarain, Vusumuzi Mkhatshwa and Busi Shiba.
SABC News Senior political reporter, Samkele Maseko, suggested that the members who lost their jobs are said to be huge buddies of former Premier David Mabuza. “All those allegedly aligned to the Deputy President and former Mpumalanga Premier DD Mabuza have been removed,” Maseko said.
The ANC in Mpumalanga has not held its provincial conference to elect a new chairperson since Mabuza left the position to join the national leadership, and indications are that relations between Mtshweni-Tsipane and Mabuza have broken down all the more reason she has distributed with Mabuza allies from her cabine
Other sources indicate that there was a possibility of an opposition motion of confidence in the Premier’s violation of Covid-19 regulations could actually see light of day, and she has seemingly moved with automatic quickness to hinder that threat.
