Check Out The Landlord Of Amapiano De Mthuda Drifts His Car
Vosloorus born Gift Mthuthuzeli Khoza, also known as his stage name De Mthuda, was spotted drifting his car in the streets at night. He was driving a box-shaped Toyota Corolla, one of the best cars to spin and drift. In drag racing, spinning and drifting, box-shaped Corolla’s are the same category as the BMW E30i (igusheshe) and the Nissan Skyline.
He drifted the car in an undisclosed location but judging from the houses, and it was clear to see it was in a township. It was during the night, and there weren’t a lot of pedestrians at risk. He was indeed responsible in that regard.

According to the National Road Act, 93 of 1996, certain car modifications and spinning are prohibited in South Africa. Drifting and spinning, however, are a major part of Mzansi street culture; therefore, legal spinning and drifting tournaments are allowed, but they’re expensive to host. As mentioned, it’s an integral part of street culture, and as much as not too many celebrities take part in it, De Mtuda gave fans a short drifting show.
De Mthuda, like many other artists, owns a fleet of cars and judging by their engines, the Shesha Geza hitmaker seems to have a thing for speed. Amongst his fleet is the drifting sky blue Toyota Corolla, a white Volkswagen GTI and two more cars, including a BMW.
Mthuda, the John Wick singer, has made a name for himself in the amapiano space, and he’s left a mark. He started making music in the year 2012 when he was a scholar. When he was in grade 11, he completely lost interest in his schooling and decided to drop out and pursue music full time. He’s released hits like Emlanjeni, uMsholozi on his albums Ace of Spades in 2020 and The Landlord in 2021.
He’s worked with big artists in the amapiano spectrum like Kabza De Small, Njelic, Dali Wonga, Focalistic, Sir Trill and many more.
