The series has won some of the most prestigious drama awards in Mzansi. The cast is set on giving life to their script, which has made viewers interested in the cast’s life off-screen. Nokuzola from Imbewu-The Seed’s character is brought to life by actress Vuyiseka Cawe. She is not a new face on our screens as she has landed roles in Muvhango, Generations-The Legacy, Rhythm City and Ekasi, our stories. She took a sabbatical to go back home to take care of her smaller siblings after her mother and grandmother passed on days apart. As the guardian she had taken on the role to be, she ensured that her sisters were settled into their new lives before she continued pursuing her career. She earned a role in The queen and Imbewu-The Seed as Nokuzola.
Nkanyiso Mchunu’s thrust in the limelight was made on the etv drama series Imbewu-The Seed. He is not new to Television, but he landed minor roles before his current gig. The actor took on the character of Sizwe on Muvhango as a minor role at the beginning of his acting career. He also doubles up as a voice-over artist for ABSA commercials and adverts for MTN. His first significant role on Television is Nkululeko Bhengu on Imbewu-The Seed.
Nkululeko started as an outcast in the Bhengu family. He started working as security in the company. Nkululeko later realised that he was the rightful heir to the Bhengu businesses. His most prominent secret is that he slept with his brother’s wife and maybe the child she is carrying’s father. His sister in law is Nokuzola, and she is also an ex of his from before she had met Zithulele, who is her husband.
Vuyiseka Cawe is the very definition of black don’t crack as she looks younger than she is. As of 2021, she is 33 years old, which makes her older than Nkanyiso, who is 32 years old. The actor who takes on the character of Zithulele, Raphael Griffiths, is younger than both of them at only 29 years old.
