DJ Black Coffee Raises R76k For SA’s COVID-19 Solidarity Fund From His Concert

South Africa has amazing people. Take Black Coffee as an example, who has raised an amazing amount of R76 000 towards South Africa’s fight against COVID-19. With the lockdown restrictions happening, the DJ decided to bring entertainment to people in the comfort of their own homes. When he announced his free concert, social media went crazy.

Black Coffee’s live flowing concert which is called Home Brewed 001, which was free, did not only give entertainment to many people, it was an opportunity for fans to donate money to the solidarity fund that was set up by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The star took to social media to thank his fans and promise them another concert this coming Easter weekend to raise more money for the fund. ”Blown away by all of the love and generosity following yesterday’s stream. For Home Brewed 001, we were able to raise over 76,000 ZAR towards @solidarityfundrsa Thank YOU!’’ he said.

With the success of his first concert which managed to raise R76K, he is looking forward to keeping Mzansi dancing again on Easter weekend. This will help raise even more money. “I’ll be streaming again next Saturday to continue raising money for the cause…we’re still accepting donations,” he said.
