Get To Know Skeem Saam Actor Wallet In Real Life

Molefi Monaisa is a South African actor best known for playing the role Wallet on Skeem Saam. Molefi rose to fame as Daniel Phute in the SABC3 comedy series One Way, from 2006-2007. He also appeared on sitcom Konsternasie Oppie Stasie as Amos Tshabalala, the General Manager of Station Siyaya.

Molefi Monaisa wanted to be a doctor or lawyer but his parents couldn’t afford to sent him to university. After high school, he studied dramatic arts training at the Method Actors Centre in Pretoria.

Molefi Monaisa got his acting breakthrough in 2006 when he played the role of Daniel Phute on One Way. He also appeared in Konsternasie Oppie Stasie (Amos Tshabalala), Strike Back, Lockdown (Siya), Hillside, Impilo: The Scam, The Throne and  Thola.

Molefi Monaisa has been playing the role of Wallet on Skeem Saam since 2011.  Wallet is a retired actor and poet who has traveled all over the world including New York and London. Wallet is proud of his experiences and speaks with a British accent. Molefi Monaisa’s friend Africa Tsoai, who plays John Maputla in Skeem Saam told him about the role encouragement him to audition.

Molefi Monaisa was born in  Potchefstroom, North West. He is 50 years old as of 2021. He was raised in Potchefstroom, North West in a family of four. He has two older sisters and one younger brother. Molefi Monaisa doesn’t have a wife or children saying he is much more focused on his acting career.
