Gomora Teddy And Langa’s Scene Leaves Fans In Tears

The latest episode of Gomora Mzansi, which aired this Friday. 11 December 2020, was named one of the most-touching from the drama. Teddy, who’s become a victim of rape to new business teacher Miss Manzi has been struggling to cope in school following the constant sexual and emotional abuse from Manzi.

Penning a letter explaining why he hasn’t been himself, he handed the letter over to his friend Langa to give to his family before leaving Gomora. Langa, however, read the letter and after realizing what his friend has been going through, he ran back to stop him from fleeing. Their confrontation was a super emotional one and saw the boys breaking into tears. Fans have taken to social media to show appreciation and redirect on the episode.

A few weeks, Mzansi Magic came under fire for their insensitive tweet promoting the Telenovela. The current storyline on Gomora forces viewers to engage in a much-needed conversation and awareness around sexual abuse in males. A topic that is often ignored.

Gomora is a South African drama by Seriti Films. The telenovela came in the place of Isthembiso which was cancelled after its third season. The story is centered around two families and is set in the township of Alexandra, north of Johannesburg. The two families’ worlds collide after a hijacking which claimed the life of a husband and family man.
