How Master KG spends his R70 million fortune: His car collection & Two mansions

Born as Kgaogelo Moagi in January 1996, Master KG as he is professionally known is a South African musician and record producer.

Born and raised in Tzaneen, Limpopo, he started playing with beats at the age of thirteen using a computer that his late uncle had bought him.

Even at that young age, Master KG believed in his craft, though he never imagined becoming a global success. He believed that if people could just hear his music, they would fall in love with it.

His career

Master KG’s music career started when he got in touch with DJ Maebela and they began experimenting with music software, specifically FL Studio. In 2016, after much practice, he released his first single, Situation.

After getting signed to his current record label, Open Mic Productions, in 2018 he released his debut album Skeleton Move.

The album , like most of his music has a strong bias towards a mixture of Afro house instrumentals and bolobedu melodies.

In December 2019, Master KG released the song Jerusalema, featuring Nomcebo Zikode. In mid-2020, the song went viral online, charting internationally and spawning a remix with Nigerian artist, Burna Boy.

The song quickly became a symbol of hope amidst all the fear brought by the COVID-19 pandemic; catapulting Master KG in to a global star.


Net worth 

Though there are widely varying estimates on his net worth online, numerous sources however put Master KG’s net worth as high as $5 million (R70 million).

With the success of his career, Master KG can now afford exotic cars for himself and loved ones. Below, are some of the cars in his garage.

VW Golf 7R

This one was of the first cars to have come into his collection. He bought the Golf R a few weeks before his birthday as an early present The car has undergone a number of transformations over the years.



Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 

The musician also owns this beautiful 718 Boxster, perfect for those hot summer days across the country.                                                               

The 718, comes with a relatively affordable sticker price of R1.5 million, and has been described by many as a good drivers car among the entry level Porsche line up.

Mercedes Benz class     

Judging from the amount of times the CLA has appeared on his timeline through most of his social media platforms, it may very well be his favourite car among all of his cars in the collection.                                                 

Audi A6  

This is somewhat of a subtle car in his collection, but at R889 600 it did not come cheap either.

Ferrari FF 

The cheapest FF on sale right now on Autotrader comes in at R2.5 million, new the FF comes with a recommended price of R4.5 million.

The car comes with a 6.3 L naturally aspirated engine, capable of reaching 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds,

This makes the FF, the most expansive and fastest car in his collection.

He bought the super car towards the end of last year, soon after Jerusalema got 150 000 views on YouTube.

BMW 3 series   

Master KG purchased this beautiful 3 Series after his hit song Jerusalema hit 100 million views on YouTube.

The new shape 3 series has a recommended sale price of R 1 139 216.00.

Mercedes Benz V Class 

It wouldn’t be a DJ car collections without this celebrity’s favourite ride. 

Master KG added the V- Class to his ever growing collection late last year.


Master KG not only spent his money on cars, but properties as well. He own two beautiful houses both in Limpopo and Gauteng.

Master KG bought his house in Gauteng, shortly after his song- Skeleton moves got over 10 million views on YouTube.

This was a way to celebrate his success, while fulfilling one of his childhood dreams at the same time.


The imposing mansion is located in Midrand, Gauteng. Though, the value of the property had never been disclosed, many sources put its market value at, at least R2.5 million.

Master KG also owns this beautiful mansion located in Limpopo. Not a small fit for someone who once revealed that not long ago, he once had a hard time securing accommodation and even renting.
