Nomcebo Zikode is a South African singer, song-writer and a performer as well. She made her debut in the entertainment industry in 2003 when she appeared on the talent search that was being run by Ukhozi FM. She then got to team with DJ Ganyani and they both produced, ‘Emazulwini’. She also got to be signed as an artist under Open Mic Records and this meant the start of her solo career. The record even got to be nominated at the SAMAs.

She dropped her own track Xola Moya Wam and for the song, she has teamed up with Master KG. The track is the first release of Nomcebo’s upcoming debut album which will consist of five tracks. Xola Moya Wam sees hitmaker Master KG exploring the amapiano genre.
Speaking to Sowetan, Nomcebo explained that the album was inspired by her emotions when the COVID-19 lockdown hit the country. “The album was inspired by the fact that when the Covid-19 lockdown hit, I got scared. I thought God was punishing me because I have such a big song [Jerusalema] and I should be outside singing and making money,” Zikode says.
To add onto the great news, Nomcebo’s blessings just keep adding up. The singer can add another achievement to her growing musical career, her song Xola Moya Wam went Gold.
