R350 Grants To be Extended and Increased
The coronavirus social relief grants was introduced early last year after the world faced with coronavirus pandemic which made life horrendous for everyone and more especially those doesn’t have jobs who lives by hustling every day. The government then introduced the social relief grants.
It’s a grants that everyone who doesn’t work receives R350 monthly. Late last year it was said that the grants will come to an end this January and as we speaking people have started receiving their January grants believing it their last one but it seems like there will be some good news after all.
With corona virus not showing signs of going away anytime soon the human rights organisation has wrote a letter to the President Cyril Ramaphosa‘s office asking for the grants to be Extended and Increased at the same time. The human rights organisation has asked the grants to be increased from R350 to R585 per person.
The President Cyril Ramaphosa has raised the letter to minister of social distance Lindiwe Zulu. Now the human rights organisation is waiting for Minister of social distance Lindiwe Zulu to respond on their requests. In the letter the organization has also stated that with Level 3 it’s hard to get employed and people are losing jobs.
