Scandal Actor Romeo Resigned From The Show
Scandal actor Hungani Ndlovu, who plays the popular character of Romeo has left the show, eTV has confirmed. Marketing manager Makatseng Mokomoe confirmed Ndlovu resigns from the soapie, but said there was a possibility he would come back one day. “Yes, he resigned, but he won’t be replaced by anyone,” she said.
According to sources close to the production, Ndlovu was unhappy with the way he was treated by the show and felt that he deserved more. Inside source said he felt unappreciated despite being a popular actor who also brings in the numbers. “Of course, one might say he is a diva, but he knows his worth and he realized that they were not appreciating him for that,” he said.
Another source said Ndlovu also felt that he was being under attack by some people in the production, and he just wanted to make things easy for them by resigning from the soapie. Ndlovu did not respond to questions at the time of going to publish, according to Sunday World.
It was earlier reported that Ndlovu had a kaput-up with colleague Masasa Mbangeni (Thembeka) who has also left the show. Mbangeni denied this, saying her departure from the show had nothing to do with the alleged incident, but raged to personal reasons.
Romeo Medupe is currently missing on Scandal and this might explain why he will not come back as Romeo Medupe quits Scandal. Romeo is a fan favorite and many took to social media to express their frustrations that he was leaving the show. The initial report of his departure drew an angry reaction on social media instigation e.tv to dismiss the report as fake news.
