Kea Leburu is a South African actress and dancer best known for her role as Bontle on the SABC1 soap opera Skeem Saam. Born Keamogetswe Trudy Leburu in Kagiso township west of Johannesburg she attended Bosele Primary School, where she discovered her interest in and love for netball.


In 2013, she was discovered by mentor Peter Se-Puma and ended up in a cameo role on the soapie Rhythm City, which was her screen acting debut. Keamogetswe Trudy Leburu was born in the Kagiso township, west of Johannesburg, on February 10, 1995. Her mother died when she was nine years old in 2004, and her father died the following year, in 2005. Kea was raised by her grandparents after both of her parents died in a car accident. Keamogetwe Leburu is now self-sufficient and continues to live in Johannesburg.
