Somizi Mhlongo Found Himself In Trouble Again
From the look of things, being a celebrity in South Africa this days comes with costs as anything you say in the eyes of the public might go wrong or work against you. Mzansi’s most celebrated gay couple Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale Motaung have been victims on social media and in some cases, they ended up withdrawing their words or even deleting their content.
A few weeks back, Mohale ended up deleting his video which he upset a number of his followers who were claiming the video was insensitive and teasing the poor and those who had gotten the R350 COVID-19 relief grant.
At the moment, Somizi is under fire after the long video he posted on Instagram last night backfired. In a 7 minute video, captioned “self-hate must stop”, the star is basically encouraging his fans to raise and support others who have accomplished something in their lives instead of crushing them. He goes on to give an example relating to the day he posted more than 50 pairs of shoes on Instagram.
“Some people who believe in pulling others down actually thought I have borrowed those shoes, black child all things are possible, why should it be hard for me to support another black business and buy in bulk, your hate guys is something else, stop it and channel that energy towards building something positive’, he said.
He goes on to flash everyone who was not happy about a recent viral video in which a man posted a video showing his brand new cars with an estimated value of R11 million.
”We should celebrate him, you won’t go anywhere with that behavior, our hope is that he bought them using clean money and he was not supposed to apologize for his success”, he added.
Twitter isn’t accepting any of it as the #SomiziMustFall is trading.

If we allow Somizi to control us, then it means we don’t have independent thinkers. Who is he to have an opponion about what we must tweet,
Not so long ago there was #LeratoKganyagoMustRise #SomiziMustFall
