Uzalo Actress Mazaza Is Fired For Falling Pregnant

Sabc1 most watch drama series Uzalo has fired actress Sphelele Mzimela, who played Mazaza. The actress was purportedly shown the door after the show’s producer discovers that she is pregnant. She made the wrong choice to fall pregnant.

The role of her has been given to Mpume Ngwenya, who made her depute on the popular weekday show on Wednesday. Mzimela joined Uzolo last year after she left Mzansi magic Drama Isibaya. The producer of the show became very angry at Mazaza for getting pregnant at a decisive time for her character on the show.

“Sphelele made a wrong choice to fall pregnant when her role on the show is big at the moment. It is going to blow people away, the way the tables are going to turned by her in the show” said the source. “She was not supposed to fall pregnant, even if she was madly in love or had a stable boyfriend. This industry needs you to be calculative when it comes to family planning”.

The other problem is she was regularly getting sick and missing most of the shots. She would vomit right in the middle of the shoot and that will force the entire cast to stall all over again.

One of the source said there was a time when she fainted while shooting her scenes. They were left with no choice but to replace her.
